BMW 1 Series 2013 Second generation (F20/F21; 2011-2018)

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to replace the headlight bulb in a BMW 1 series f20:

Turn off the engine and open the hood of your BMW.

Locate the back of the headlight assembly where the bulb attaches to the wiring harness.

Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab and pulling it away from the bulb.

There is a metal clip that holds the bulb in place. Release the clip by pushing down and away from the bulb.

Gently wiggle the bulb out of the socket, being careful not to touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers as this can leave oil residue which can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely.

Take your new bulb and insert it into the socket, making sure it's properly aligned.

Push the metal clip back into place until you hear it snap.

Reconnect the electrical connector to the new bulb.
Test the headlight to make sure it's working properly before closing the hood.

That's it! Remember to be careful when handling the bulb and avoid touching the glass with your bare hands.
