In 1989, in the midst of a record murder rate in New York City, five teens were convicted and sent to prison for the violent assault and rape of a jogger in Central Park. As a lifelong New Yorker, concerned citizen, and respected businessman, Donald Trump purchased ad space in NYC newspapers calling for action in battling crime in the city and suitable punishment for those convicted of murder. In an effort to throttle the momentum Trump’s campaign is building among black voters, rappers, and influencers, the good reverend is pointing to Trump’s word from 34 years ago as proof to all black people that the former president is, in fact, a racist, all because DNA would later have those five teens' convictions vacated. Jason sets the record straight in the case of “The Central Park Lie.”
