We finally made it to Quito, Ecuador — a city that completely caught us off guard.

Our time here didn’t start smoothly — from getting lost on the bus to staying in an Airbnb straight out of a horror movie — but everything changed once we began exploring. We dove into Quito’s historic center, got involved in traditional Ecuadorian dancing, and even joined a chocolate tasting that blew our minds.

We learned why Quito is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, discovered the charm of its streets, and met locals who made us feel completely at home. By the end, we couldn’t help but ask ourselves — is this the most underrated city in South America?
