STORYLINE:
Supporters of Renee Good marched and sang in support of the 37-year-old woman, who was shot and killed by immigration authorities in Minneapolis last week.

"Part of the inspiration for this is that singing has been a really big part of movements for social change forever, said Sarah Abbott, a Renee Good supporter. "We're taking inspiration from the civil rights movement."

The Twin Cities — the latest target in President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement campaign — is bracing for what is next after 37-year-old was shot and killed by an immigration officer on Wednesday.

More than 20,000 people have taken part in a variety of trainings to become “observers” of enforcement activities in Minnesota since the 2024 election, said Luis Argueta, a spokesperson for Unidos MN, a local human rights organization .

The protests have been largely peaceful, but residents remained anxious.
