Hey friends! A buddy of mine picked up a SLO 30, and I've been wanting to try one of these out for a long time now so I was stoked to get a chance to jam on it & do some reamping! I have read that the 30 is tighter than the 100 (which I had a while ago) and they're right. All the tone of the 100 in a more volume-manageable package.
Anyway check it out against a 2 channel Rev G that has been modded to Rev C specs. So, fairly close to the preamp that "stole the SLO design". Spoiler alert, a real Rev C sounds NOTHING like a SLO..
Both amps are straight in, settings as in the pics. IOW NO BOOST. The riff is from one of my band's songs. What tone do you think is better?
