Step by step instructions:
Remember to always inform a user before you attempt to remote into their machine.
1. Find and open the Dameware Mini Control Service. It can be downloaded onto your computer through the Shared drive at \\phshared\Techsupport\Dameware.
2. In the “Host” text box, enter the user’s computer name.
3. In the “Type” dropdown menu, select “Window’s NT Challenge/Response”.
4. Select the checkbox by “Use Current Logon Credentials”.
5. Click “Connect”.
6. If Dameware has not previously been used on the user’s device, a pop-up box will appear asking if you want to install the Damware Control Service. Click “Ok” to continue.
7. After a few moments, you will have access to their machine. Simply close the window to end the session.
8. If you log into any device with your credentials, make sure to log off before ending the remote session.
