Calculating strains, Poisson's ratio, Young's modulus and more for a test specimen. For my solid mechanics lab course at SDSU. The "worksheet" that I mention in the second half of the video is typically made available to students in the class but it's pretty easy to make a copy of your own in Excel. The outro is the Big Four Bridge, an old railroad bridge converted to pedestrian use that spans from Louisville, KY to Jeffersonville, IN. Please turn on the subtitles if you have a hard time hearing what I'm saying.
