ACTION MAN SOLDIERS OF THE WORLD 1973

In 1973 Palitoy released the Soldiers of the World outfits into the Action Man range replacing the previous Soldiers of the Century.
The five outfits available in 1973 were: The British Infantryman,
French Resistance Fighter, German Storm trooper, Australian Jungle Fighter and French Foreign Legion. The first three were carried over from Soldiers of the Century and featured identical uniforms and equipment but manufactured from more economical materials. The Australian Jungle Fighter was an update on the 1960's release featuring new uniform and Sterling Sub-machine Gun but still retained the flamethrower and machete.
The French Foreign Legion was a completely new outfit and featured Kepi/Cap, Greatcoat, plastic webbing, Shirt, Trousers, sash, Lebel Rifle, bayonet with scabbard and Water Bottle.
In 1974 The German Staff Officer was added to the range and featured German officers Cap, Jacket, Riding Breech Trousers, Jack Boots, Waist Belt, Luger Pistol with Holster, Iron Cross Medal, Goggles, Binoculars and Map with Map Case.
