TRIP REPORT | Ryanair (Malta Air) Boeing 737-8200 MAX | MLA-BLQ | FR7793

Malta Air is a subsidiary of Ryanair, as well as being a joint venture between Ryanair and the Government of Malta. As of spring 2023, it operates 158 aircraft, only 6 of which are painted in the Malta Air livery (the remaining 152 are painted in the standard Ryanair livery). Do not confuse the airline with Air Malta, which is the Maltese national carrier!

Overall, a mediocre flight with Ryanair. Even though I don't have very high expectations of them, they still left a few things to be desired. The interior was more attractive than that of a usual Ryanair aircraft, I'll give them that - the cabin was gray and red in color, and felt overall more pleasant than that of a standard FR cabin. Other than that though, the experience was disappointing: a disorganized and annoying boarding process, an unmotivated and indifferent crew, and the lack of any proper food (hot meals or sandwiches) due to the "short flight time" - which makes no sense whatsoever, considering they were available on the outbound flight! Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for...
