In Part 2, my journey through Miyamoto Musashi’s legacy continues as I explore even deeper into the places that shaped his upbringing. I visited his shrine, his grave and his parents’ resting place, as well as the iconic statue that stands in his honor. Walking through the area where he was raised gave me an even clearer sense of the environment that forged his discipline and spirit. I also visited the local train station named after him, and his dojo, where people still practice today—keeping his teachings alive. Surrounded by beautiful traditional Japanese scenery, this part of the journey brought me even closer to understanding the true essence of Musashi. I hope Part 2 gives you an even deeper appreciation for his life and the legacy he left behind.
The music I curated is mainly from the 2003 Miyamoto Musashi Series to pay respect to Ennio Morricone who orchestrated beautiful pieces of work within the series that provided more spirit.
