Canoe trip on the Red Deer River in west central Alberta. Started in the town of Sundre and paddled about 115 km to the City of Red Deer. Class II with sweepers in the first half, and class I below the dam. There is about a 500 meter portage over the dam. Flow was 58 cm/s at the Garrington station on day 1. Flow was 56 cm/s at the Garrington station and 60 cm/s at the Dixon Dam outflow on day 2. Flow was 74 cm/s at the Red Deer station on day 3. August 9 - 11, 2025. Hope you enjoy.
