Breathing new life into a community space is a highly energizing opportunity. That’s precisely what we aimed to do with the Strawberry Square ClockBox Lounge and Stage.
Originally conceived and built in the ‘70s and ‘80s, Strawberry Square has long been anchored by its grand two-story atrium. In reimagining the space, we’ve paired a cantilevered lounge and meeting room above an eye-catching central stage within an existing two-story cast-in-place concrete structure.
As an intentional bonus detail, we've set the lounge in the same bright yellow as the original clock that served as the anchor point of this space before the refresh.
Collectively, the project promises space for entertainment and performances, as well as dynamic mixed-use collaborative space for the thousands of people living, working, and visiting this thriving urban center in downtown Harrisburg.
