Flea power amplification: always enough for headphones?

Every amplification range - style has its optimum applicatibilty. Flea power amplifiers are not going to crank out over-EQ bass at high levels, not even with headphones when the HP happen to be an inefficient variety.
In my experience flea power amps soar when mated with efficient transducers (headphones or loudspeakers), tasked to present material without interference (heavy bass EQ), and listened to in a room with very low noise floor. In the next episode I’m going to talk more about the room noise floor and flea power amp suitability.
