Necromancy Cosmetica is a popular goth / alt make up brand from Puerto Rico. I was quite disappointed with their square paper box bullet but I am happy to have given these a second chance! While the lipstick still smells like crayon, the lip stick pay off is soooo much better! I also give a rare chance to see what the original paper lipstick looks like a year after purchase. Overall I'm glad they updated their component and still strive to complete their mission of creating as little waste as possible.

Here is the brands response to when I thought my bullet case defective:

Our bamboo cases are designed to fully close and function properly once the refill component is inserted. While some units may snap shut on their own without the refill, this isn’t a requirement for their proper use. The inner components of the case are what securely hold the lipstick and create the snapping mechanism, ensuring its protection.
Please note that after inserting the refill component, you’ll need to remove the clear cap covering the refill. Once the refill is placed inside the bamboo case, you can securely close it by placing the bamboo cap on top.
The slight variation in the snapping behavior is due to manufacturing limitations. Since the cases are made from bamboo—a natural material—there can be minuscule diameter differences that affect their ability to snap closed independently. This is a characteristic of the material’s organic nature and does not affect the overall performance of the case. "

Now that I know the quality of these lipsticks I would definitely recommend them to my goth girlies as a product to try out!
