WATCH LIVE: Zimbabwe Soldiers Refuse To Use Cars Donated By Mnangagwa

An article by @Bulawayo24News says that 102 cars donated by President Mnangagwa to top Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) officials have still not been officially accepted.

The cars, which are high-end models, were donated in September but are still parked at the Msasa Logistics Garrison Depot in Harare. Sources revealed that senior army officials are afraid to take the cars because they think the vehicles might have tracking devices.

“There is hesitation. Many fear that because these cars are personal donations and not bought with government money, they might affect the army’s independence,” one source said.

Attempts to get comments from ZNA officials did not provide much information. Lieutenant Colonel Tichafa Mungofa, the Deputy Director of Public Relations, directed questions to ZDF spokesperson Colonel Charles Mutizhe, who asked for the questions to be sent on WhatsApp but had not replied by the time the article was published.
