Walking with Guards - The Thunderer March - Oct 2024 - Istana, Singapore 🇸🇬 - Virtual Walk [4K]

Come join me at the monthly Changing of Guard Ceremony at the Istana, the Singapore President’s official residence and office.

The change ceremony is typically conducted on the first Sunday of every month, in the evening.

The Guards are selected from the Military Police and performs sentry duty at the palace on a monthly rotation.
Every ceremony is accompanied by the SAF Band and the Silent Precision Drill Squad.

The format of the Ceremony is based on the British Changing of Guards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

The incoming Guards will march from Koek Road (beside OG Orchard Point) to meet the outgoing Guards at the main entrance of the Istana. A symbolic parade of handing over duties is then carried out.
