A magical place hidden in McKenzie Country, New Zealand. End Of Road Series 07 HD 1080p

Welcome to Remote Places New Zealand, this is Dudley Moore. Today we are going to visit a magical place hidden in New Zealand’s, South Island high country.

To get there we start in Fairlie and travel via Lake Tekapo. Fairlie, is a vibrant rural supply town to Mackenzie Country, world-renowned for its pie shop, a very popular place, where, I once observed a very satisfied customer, who had just purchased 54 pies!
Another prominent feature of Fairlie is the statue of James Mackenzie, the Hardcase sheep rustler, who was the first European to view the Mackenzie country, back in 1855 and for his crimes, the area is named after him.

So watch out for Lake Alexandria.
