I am a 17 year old black soldier fly farmer. My colleague and I who is also 17 years old founded this business in our final year of high school. During that year we faced many setbacks including misinformation about feeding and lack of time to commit to the project. This led to 7 consecutive months of disappointment in yields and death of pupae etc. We almost felt like quitting but now we are finally making tangible progress with the correct feeding information and the time to invest after graduating high school. We are really optimistic about where it will go from here and decided to create this YouTube channel now to document this process and save these memories.
