ABOUT THIS RIDE:
This summer road trip begins on wet rural roads under overcast skies, with open fields and quiet countryside shaping the landscape. As the ride progresses, the scenery transitions from rain-soaked pavement to stretches of bright yellow oilseed fields, which add a vivid burst of color across the farmland. Long, flowing roads lead the way north through peaceful rural terrain.

Further along the route, the ride passes through the small town of Himanka, where a distinctive yellow wooden church stands at the center of the village — a notable landmark before continuing toward the coast. From there, the skies begin to clear as the route approaches Kalajoki Hiekkasärkät, known for its long dunes and open shoreline.

Changing weather, colorful fields, and wide open roads set the tone for this first part of the journey.
