Join me in a journey to revive a vintage Olympus XA2 camera, released in 1980! In this video, I'll show you the step-by-step process of bringing this classic gem back to life. We'll be cleaning the camera thoroughly and installing new light seals, ensuring it's ready to capture memories once again.

The Olympus XA2, a modification of the XA, was designed to be more user-friendly, making it an excellent choice for beginners. Its features are streamlined, focusing on the AE program and three-zone focus. When you open or close the lens cover, the camera automatically sets the focus to a medium distance, just in case you forget to adjust it correctly.

Equipped with a D. Zuiko 35mm 1:3.5 lens, the camera offers three focus zones: 1.2m - 1.8m, 1.8m - 6.3m, and 6.3m - infinity. It provides exposure times ranging from 2 seconds to 1/750th of a second, and exposure measurement is done using a Cds cell. The ISO settings go from 25 to 800, and the camera includes a self-timer feature.

Powering the Olympus XA2 are two SR44 batteries.
