Author J S (John) Morey was born in the village of Blaby where the heart of the story takes place, before moving south to the Westcountry.
The recording is part of the album "Reflections" by Roland Canning Hollis, formerly of Freeman Road, Leicester and a fictional artist created by the author. (The real Roland was a war hero who sacrificed his life in World War One near Pozieres - wounded and sent back to the trenches three times before being Killed In Action.)
