A look at the new fridge freezer … and a bit of shopping.

Now the dust has had some time to settle, here's a look inside the new fridge-freezer!

Hopefully, this will answer some of the questions about the required 'repairs' needed to the kitchen wall and the floor, and the possibility of putting shelves on the wall.

The celebrate the advent of the new fridge-freezer, and to use up a few expiring coupons, some vouchers and Top Cash Back gift cards, I did a small stock up shop.

I show some of that. Not the meat ... that was already stashed in the top drawer of the new freezer.

Buying a gift and a Pyrex roasting dish has probably disqualified me from 'no spend' January, but that's the way it can go sometimes.

The stock up shop, roasting dish and gift came from Week 2 and 3 grocery / consumables allowance (£90).

As I have said before, I tend to think of January as a transition month, so deciding to do 'no spend' January was probably doomed to fail before I started. February may be more realistic !

I'm beginning to feel more rested, organised and in control after the rush of December and the new year.

I definitely need to plan to make December more simple this year, and putting money and loyalty points aside to prepare for the staff Christmas discount week stock up needs to be a big priority.
