Updating the Bathroom in our RV Travel Trailer

In this video, we increase the storage in our small bathroom by replacing the old, plastic medicine cabinet with a new, wooden medicine cabinet. We anchored it with hollow-wall anchors, so the wall is able to support the medicine cabinet as we rock down the road. We also added an additional cabinet above the toilet for more storage. The mirrored medicine cabinet we purchased was not designed for RVs, so we added a way to lock the mirror closed as we traveled. We found rotating racks that we added for toilet paper and hand towels, which can rotate so they hold the towels and paper in place against the cabinet- no more unravelled toilet paper! We added an additional towel rack under the other cabinet as well. All the shelves got shelf-liner, and the cabinets all got hardware that matches the rest of the RV.

The sink and shower got new faucets and plugs. There was an odd gap between the shower and the cabinet, so we created a wood form that filled the gap to protect the wires and keep dirt from piling up. The shower got a new shower rod, which expands out to create a larger shower stall, or collapses in for travel. We replaced the shower curtain as well to match our new furniture. The skylight was taken down and covered with shelf-liner in order to reduce the amount of light- and heat- that comes into the bathroom. We replaced the overhead exhaust fan as well for a far more efficient model.
