I just wrapped up an 1,800-mile round trip from Phoenix to Boulder in my 2024 GMC Sierra AT4 with the 3.0 Duramax, and what I discovered was honestly mind-blowing. This truck weighs nearly 6,000 lbs, is fully loaded with off-road gear, and I drove it fast — averaging around 80 MPH for long stretches. Still… it managed to deliver over 20 MPG.
