The quest for a place to test his designs and utilize his creative ability led Tochukwu to set up the first indigenous makerspace in the most unlikely of places , in Nigeria. Tochukwu believes that Nigeria cannot be left behind in this new world of Science, technology, Engineering and Math.
His talk describes his path to setting up a makerspace in Nigeria, and why maker spaces are so critical for Nigeria’s development.
Tochukwu Chukwueke is a tech entrepreneur and inventor with several patents. He is the founder of Clintonel Innovation Centre (CIC)-Nigeria’s first indigenous Makerspace and the CEO of Clintonel Technology, a manufacturing and advanced engineering company. Tochukwu is the initiator of Hardware Nigeria Community (HNC), a national network of Nigerian inventors, makers and hardware entrepreneurs. He has won several national and international awards. Tochukwu Chukwueke is an inventor with several patents and tech entrepreneur. He is the founder of several technology firms including Clinotel Innovation Centre (CIC) - the 1st indigenous Makerspace in Nigeria and Hardware Nigeria Community (HNC) - a nationwide network of Nigerian inventors, makers and hardware entrepreneurs and is the CEO of Clinotel Technology - a manufacturing & advanced engineering company.
