A late afternoon and early evening kayak float on the Lower Salt River near Mesa, Arizona on June 7, 2025, about four nights before the full moon. The river flow ranged from 898 to 925 cubic feet per second. With no clouds, we had great views of the nearly-full moon. With most of the tubers and paddlers ahead or behind us, the latter part of the float felt very calm.
