Virtual and Augmented Reality Innovation Contest final event

IC tomorrow hosted the final event for the “Virtual and Augmented Reality Innovation Contest” on Wednesday 7 October 2015 in London. This contest was launched to encourage emerging opportunities for digital innovation in virtual and augmented reality, and offered six awards of up to £35,000 to companies whose innovative solutions best met the broad contest challenges.

Nineteen contest finalists took part in the event, with each getting 10 minutes to pitch to the panel of judges. In addition to the funding awarded to build their digital prototype, winners will retain their intellectual property and benefit from the valuable opportunity to run a trial with the relevant contest partner including Crossrail, John Lewis, Queen Mary University London, Enteric HTC, Royal London Hospital, Pearson Plc, King's College London, Konica Minolta, Ericsson and Columbia Records.
