In this video I will show you how we negotiated food prices in Bubanza market in Burundi.
We spent a lot of time getting food for the next 3-4 days for the kids.
It was very crowded, it's the biggest market near the place where we are organising the children's camp, 12 km away. We also had to solve the problem of transport because there was a large quantity of products and we had to find a solution to bring them all to Buramata.
Nicoleta came with us to the Christmas camp and in this video you can see how we managed to save a few tens of thousands of francs buying food for the 1,000 children in the camp.
My advice is not to try this at home. I don't recommend anyone to negotiate to the bone, especially as with friends you don't negotiate, you give them what they ask for to keep them happy. With strangers you can negotiate, especially if you know that you are white among the blacks and then they automatically asked you a much higher price than the real one.
