This was our Independence Day performance at NPCIL, back when we were school kids running purely on excitement and last-minute energy.
The school refused to provide costumes — so we did what we always did back then.
The entire crew pooled in money, Jayesh and I travelled to Kurla and CST, picked up whatever we could afford, and somehow turned chaos into momentum.
There was no “professional” system.
Just classmates coming together, contributing what they could, trusting the process, and showing up on stage with full heart.
Looking back, this wasn’t just a dance performance —
it was an early lesson in teamwork, ownership, and making things work when support doesn’t come easy.
