Karan Brar and Peyton List actually knew each other way before they starred together on Disney, and Peyton was actually the one who helped Karan get his audition! Skai Jackson, who played Zuri, was nine at the time of the pilot but she played a seven-year-old on the show. Cameron Boyce, who played Luke, immediately stole the show at the auditions, and even beat out Karan for the role.
