In this timelapse of a longer tutorial on Patreon, I show you how I started to draw the blue heeler/Australian Cattle Dog.
Starting with the lovely reflections in the eye, this portrait goes straight into the diverse range of colours in this portrait. We have the ear which shows an out of focus technique. I change between light to dark and light to dark ways of drawing to demonstrate both, then there’s that lovely speckled colour in the fur, including having different colours next to each other.
The ears are also taken from another photo, so it shows you how I use lots of photos for one portrait, when you maybe get one from a client that isn’t the most detailed. Hope this helps!
