My Daughter is 10 and loved building this Robot with yours truely (her dad). I loved the project as well. The instructions are decent but are picture based so take your time and sort the parts as needed. We used bins to keep the hardware sorted. Plus a big table is helpful to spread out the parts. We built this over 3 evenings.
Its expandable / upgrade-able too. So lots of continued fun.
