Spending a Day in Denali. Best of Alaska in 10 Days

Here we are spending another day in Denali National Park. This time instead of going along the interior aspects of Denali National park, we'll be exploring more of the village center side of Denali. Before we start making out drive down towards Talkeetna, we have a few places to check out in Denali before heading out!

For Breakfast, we ended up going to Denali Village to a place called Black Bear Cafe. Check out their selection of breakfast meals as well as their awesome coffee line up. I would HIGHLY recommend you try out their espresso shake. It was my first time having it and i was blown away.

We initially had plans to do Mt Healy overlook which is roughly 6.9 miles RT hike, however due to the time constraint as well as the difficulty, we ended up doing the Horseshoe lake trail-head instead. The Horseshoe lake trailhead is a lot easier for everyone to do and is roughly 2.1 miles RT hike with an elevation gain of ~300-400ft.

I would highly recommend everyone to do this one as you are likely to see moose's and beavers along the way!.

After the hike, we spent perhaps an hour or two just checking out Denali Village Center. If you enjoy shopping for souvenirs and trinkets, definitely come by and check out some of the local shops!
