Despite rescue efforts, Chase Gioberti is presumed dead in the San Francisco Bay. News of Chase’s death even reaches in London where wealthy French woman, Nicole Sauguet resides. Angela visits Chao-Li at the hospital to tell him that Lance helped Emma off the ledge of the roof. Dan calls Angela from the police station where Melissa is booked for kidnapping Maggie’s baby. Dan tells Angela that although he, Melissa and Dan are out of danger, Chase is dead and his body hasn’t been recovered. Meanwhile in London, Nicole curses Chase and tosses the ring he gave her into the water.
