In everything, there's always a first time. For me, I want this first time experience to be documented and may be able to help other people to plan trips across the country. Commuting seems to be a tiresome activity, specially for those who are used to with comfortable private transports. This vlog is all about our first experience to ride in a long journey from Dumaguete City, in Negros island to the island of Cebu via Liloan Santander Sea port on board Maayo Shipping lines.
I would like to share to you the things to consider if doing this route, the expected expenses, and so that you have an idea on the transport options from Dumaguete to Cebu.
At first, we thought about taking the fast ferries, thinking that it will be faster route, however, when we inquired about it at the pier, we were informed then that the fast ferry to Cebu will travel via Bohol, and it will stay there for a bit before proceeding to Cebu City. We thought this will add more time to our trip.
Secondly, we thought of taking the airplane, from Sibulan Airport to Mactan Cebu Airport in Lapu Lapu City, Cebu and later considered that this is impractical, since we will need to travel from Dumaguete to Sibulan then board the flight then arrive at Mactan then travel a hefty traffic towards the City of Cebu.
Hence we decided to try this Ceres bus route, it’s just like hopping in the bus and disembarking at the destination point, 2 actions to do only!
