You may be aware of Gradle as a build system for the JVM but did you know it can also build C/C++ Objective C/C++ and even assembly language projects? We'll give an overview of the capabilities that Gradle provides for building packaging and testing native applications and demo some builds in action. Gradle is a mature build platform for the JVM but it can also build native projects. We'll talk about how Gradle approaches building C/C++ Objective C/C++ and assembly language projects and the power that it brings to this ecosystem. We'll explore the DSL elements that make up native support and how we can tackle problems like producing multiple variants and utilizing 3rd party libraries.
This talk will be a mixture of slides and live demonstration. We'll build some simple libraries and executables and show how to do common configuration tasks.
