Saturday night in Indonesia hits differently outside of Bali. In this video I head into the old heart of Bandung on malam Minggu, walking through Braga and Asia Afrika as the streets fill with families, couples, street performers, costumed ghosts and a kind of energy you just don’t see in more touristy areas. Along the way I share a bit of history, a few conversations and why there’s a long running saying about Bandung girls that Indonesians love to repeat. This is Indonesia after dark, vibrant and alive and a small preview of the much more personal journey I’ll be sharing next.
