After recording Harvard Ave in action earlier in the day, I headed back over to the UP Sedalia Sub this time at Sterling Ave to catch Amtrak #316 with P42 #63 leading along with record the weird bell malfunction the crossing is having all of a sudden. Fortunately #316 was running on time as he was due to arrive at Independence Station at around 4:24. As I mentioned in the Harvard Ave video, this crossing's apparently having bell problems now as both the NEG and WCH Electronic Bells here randomly stopped ringing after a few seconds of activation where they would start ringing again at around the 0:32 mark as the train is just about to Claremont Ave. I assume either both bells are dying or if its temperature related as it was cold outside. Hopefully UP does fix the bell issue here, but I wouldn't be surprised if UP replaces both bells here with GS Type 3s.
