Welcome to my guide to winning the Weekly Challenge Races for January Week 2 2024 on Gran Turismo 7.
All THE RACES WERE COMPLETED ON HARD DIFFICULTY
In this video I show you every race in this week’s Weekly Challenge for January Week 2 2024. I will show you my car setups, strategies and any notes I have for each race.
Japanese FF Challenge 450 - Suzuka Circuit East Course
Car Choice: Suzuki Swift Sport ‘17
I didn’t make any setup changes, the car is completely stock. The only thing I changed was I put on Sports Medium Tyres on the front and Sports Hard Tyres on the rear.
American SundayCup 600 - Blue Moon Day Speedway - Infield A
Car Choice: Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Safety Car
I didn’t make any setup changes, the car is completely stock. The car oversteers quite a bit in the lower gears but the race is quite easy and you should be able to win while having some fun with the car.
Special Event - Deep Forest Raceway
One Make - Radical SR3 SL
My setup is completely stock.
There is no suggested PP (Performance Points) for this race so you can go crazy with adding parts to make it faster but I don’t see any reason for wasting currency. I decided to leave the car completely stock to make it harder and a decent challenge however if you want an easier time beating the race you can put on some Racing Hard Tyres and it will make it a lot easier to win the race.
Schwarzwald League - Nurburgring Nordschleife
Car Choice: Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) ‘22
I didn’t make any setup changes, the car is completely stock. The only thing I changed was I put on Racing Medium Tyres. The car is super fun to drive around this circuit, with the Racing Medium Tyres on the lap times it can produce is close to the GT3 race cars. Be aware of some light rain during the lap, I don’t think it gets wet enough to start the race on Wet Tyres but if its raining a lot then restart the race and the game will randomly generate new weather and hopefully it’s more manageable on Racing Medium Tyres.
This car has a DRS button which can be configured in your controller/wheel settings on Gran Turismo however using DRS is not required.
World Touring Car 900 - Trial Mountain
NOTE: If you would like to see a more detailed guide for this race you can find it on my channel.
Car Choice: Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM ‘19
Strategy - Start the race on Racing Soft Tyres, pit on Lap 5 for new Racing Soft Tyres and add 5 laps of fuel only. This strategy can also be done on Racing Medium Tyres if you’re struggling with tyre wear.
Downforce settings: Front - 730 Rear - 950
Brake Balance is set at 2, this is my personal preference and not required.
The car oversteers in 1st and 2nd gear so short shift to 3rd gear on corner exit to minimise oversteer and wheel spin, this will help with tyre wear.
This car has a DRS button which can be configured in your controller/ wheel settings on Gran Turismo however using DRS is not required.
If you have any questions or are struggling with the strategy please comment below and I will do my best to help you.
