With Maya 2022 release, Autodesk added Python 3 support to Maya. So we can use Python 3 to code Maya Python scripts and Python plugins. By default, Maya 2022 uses Python 3.
But there is still a need for python 2 scripts/plugin maintenance.
So in this video, I’ll show you how to connect Pycharm to Maya using MayaCharm for both Python 3 and 2 development.
