This was a special moment for me — my very first crochet pop-up shop! It all happened at the beautiful Saba Onomo, and it was organized by the British Council Uganda and the Bold Woman Fund under the Creative DNA Programme.
From the moment I walked in, I could feel the energy. The setup was so beautiful and well-organized — every detail just made the space feel inspiring. I couldn’t wait to display our latest pieces
I got to meet and connect with amazing creatives — fellow designers, stylists, artists… it honestly felt like being part of a creative family for the day.
And the best part? I got my very first client from this event! She bought a few of our sample pieces — before we’d even officially launched the collection. I was so happy!
The energy, the people, the love for craft — it reminded me exactly why I do what I do. This pop-up wasn’t just about selling, it was about sharing my passion and story through crochet.
Huge thanks to the British Council Uganda, the Bold Woman Fund, and the Creative DNA team for making this happen. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and the growth it’s already brought
