Barra Island Airport, Outer Hebrides, Scotland, approximately 60 miles west of Glenforsa, Mull.
2021 edited version with captions and extra photographs.
Three runways on beach entirely covered by sea between tides. Light aircraft cockpit camera, Jodel D150 Mascaret landing on 'runway' 33/15 into wind 350/12-14 kts in perfect weather, landing distance 846 metres with first 200 metres reported to be under water at time of arrival (by ATC on approach).
White runway threshold marker in sea on approach visible in video, elapse time 2.54, lines up on windsock far end of beach. Touched down close to waterline (note difficult to distinguish sea from wet sand) and immediate deceleration through standing water on beach, big splash not visible on video.
Commercial Loganair (Flybe) Twin Otter arrived just ahead of us and embarking passengers.
