A friend asked me to do some Queensrÿche. He had some other suggestions but I think he will be satisfied by this. One had a long intro and I don’t want to cut the song short or just sitting there showing my ugly face.
Eddie Jackson is a real solid bass player with a distinct, unique sound. I first thought that I’d do this on a 5-string since it requires a low D, but Eddie Jackson played a Spector on this so I thought I’d do it too. That means I play this in a dropped D-tuning. I rarely do that and I really don’t like tuning down an instrument at all since I feel the tuning gets funky right away and the feel is not the same.
I really like this song. There is no band like Queensrÿche. They have their own touch and for the most part you can identify them on the first couple of notes. I’ve tried to pretty much play this as it is. I play a little sloppy here and there but I’m to lazy to do it again.
