For years the passenger side sun visor on our Nissan Murano has been falling down when we hit even the smallest bump. I looked online for a solution and didn't find an effective one or even an accurate assessment of what was causing the problem. The dealer said to just buy a new sun visor but that was expensive. We thought at first it was a loose retainer clip and replaced it. The visor still flopped down and then when comparing it to our visor on the driver's side, we realized the problem was that the piece of the visor that went in the retaining clip was supposed to be rigid but ours was rotating. We bought another visor on eBay but it was also defective and the supplier didn't have one that didn't rotate. Because of this and other posts I've seen on YouTube, the assumption is that the visor has a manufacturer flaw. Some of the posted solutions were to do workarounds such as putting velcro on the headliner to hold it in place. OUR SOLUTION WAS TO EPOXY THE PART RIGID AND NOW IT STAYS UP AND WORKS PERFECTLY. In this video, we did the repair for strength with a robust application of epoxy. I'm sure that if anyone wants to do a neater repair, that would not be hard to do.
