High-risk multiple myeloma (HRMM) is a subtype of multiple myeloma characterized by faster disease progression, less favorable response to standard treatments, and a shorter overall survival compared to standard-risk myeloma. It's identified by specific genetic alterations, clinical features, and treatment outcomes.
