✨️ About Keenjhar Jheel

Keenjhar lake/Keenjhar jheel is located around 130km from Karachi city. Its in District Thatta, Sindh, Pakistan.
Its one of the places to visit while you are in Karachi or in Thatta. Keenjhar lake is famous becuase of Mazar of Noori Jam Tamachi. in the middle of the lake.
Noori Jama Tamachi is local love story of Rich and Poor.
Jam Tamachi was a prince of the area, while Noori was a daughter of Fisherman. Jam Tamchi and Noori got married and lived a happy life.
After the death of Noori, his husband Jam Tamachi buried her in the same place near lake where He first saw her. At that time. this place was not in water.
But in 1960s , Lake are was increase to store more water, this grave was in danger of getting buried under, so government decided to build a mazar/tomb so high that it doesn’t goes under lake water.
People from around the country come to visit this place on daily basis.
Jam Tamachi is buried in Makli graveyard, which is around 35km from this lake.
