A Modern House That Finds Nature in the Middle of the City | C House

C House, designed by Studio Arthur Casas in São Paulo, is a contemporary urban residence that responds to a narrow site and strict zoning regulations through a carefully layered spatial strategy. By relocating service areas to the basement and opening the main living spaces across the ground floor, the house maximizes light, ventilation, and visual continuity despite limited outdoor space. A linear skylight and a sculptural staircase organize circulation and bring daylight deep into the interior, while upper-level private rooms are screened for privacy without sacrificing openness. The project culminates in a rooftop garden that functions as the home’s primary outdoor retreat, illustrating how thoughtful design can transform urban constraints into a refined and livable architectural experience.
