A customer collected this tree from a private bonsai enthusiast. From what we know, this tree has been in a plastic pot the entire time. As most of you know, it's not a proper bonsai until you get the right ceramic container and that's what we achieve here in this video.
We wanted to show the steps of a proper repotting. Keep in mind, we recommend that repotting a bonsai should be done when needed. It shouldn't be an annual thing or on a set schedule. In this case, it was very much needed as the tree is root bound.
We also left the pruning of this tree to the customer as all they wanted help with was to select a proper bonsai pot from our inventory and to transplant the tree. We gave the customer some design options that we see, but ultimately, the final decision is up to the owner.
