Unboxing and assembly tutorial with Robyn Anderson of Calligraphy Joburg...

Welcome to my unboxing of the Pilot Parallel 3.8mm calligraphy pen.. in this video I actually struggled to get the ink to flow, but that's because the cartridge wasn't behaving correctly and not the fault of the pen.. anyway, it was a great opportunity to show you how to rectify the problem (using a paper clip!!)

I mostly use these pens for teaching Gothic Blackletter (both Textura Quadrata and Fraktur).. in this video I am unboxing and assembling the 3.8mm pen (green lid), and this is by far the most popular size with my students, followed by the 6mm (blue lid). The smaller ones, 1.5mm (red lid) and 2.4mm (yellow lid) are a little small for Gothic..

No matter which size you prefer the unboxing and assembling is exactly the same. Hope you find it helpful!
