Police have identified 48-year-old Jacob Bard of Evansville, Indiana as the suspect in the fatal shooting at Kentucky State University.
According to investigators, Bard is charged with murder and assault after two students were shot near the Whitney M. Young Jr. residence hall. One student, De’Jon Darrell Fox Jr., 19, died from his injuries. Another remains in critical condition.
Officials say the investigation is still active.
